Welcome to Our Model Shipwright & Research Group
We just celebrated our 10th year of active modeling in October 2025! Our group is diverse in experience and interests, bringing together passionate builders of all skill levels.
Members actively employ modern technology, utilizing laser cutting and 3D resin printing for custom part development, alongside time-honored traditional wooden ship modeling, paper modeling, and diorama building.
Our monthly meetings include one or more presenters covering current model projects, historic research for upcoming builds, or specialized "how-to" workshops. We encourage everyone to participate, whether an entry-level novice or an accomplished master modeler.
We meet once per month from January through May and again September through November. For our distance members and regional guests, we offer full interactive connectivity through Zoom.
Monthly Meetings
We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM. Each session features project updates, build logs, and technical demonstrations.
